Readabilities 1.0.2 released

Version 1.0.2 of the plug-in "Readabilities" has now been released. There have been added a number of features, and a few corrections have been made within the word lists. Registered users and testers have got their update automatically for free.

The "Readabilities" analyze a portion of text - usually a "story" or an "article" - and calculate an objective measure for the understandability or rather readability of this text. At the moment, the "Readabilities" plug-in has one calculation method incorporated: the "New Dale-Chall Readability Index". This index is especially used for schoolbook text: it tells you for which grade your text is suitable. Other readability indices, made for other purposes, will follow.

Readability calculation has been very time-consuming and never totally exact, mainly due to the complexity of the calculation formula. The "Readabilities" now provide a correct, reliable and comparable readability index within less than one second! Hence, the "Readabilities" pay off in a short period of time.

At the moment, the "Readabilities" plug-in is available for InDesignCS2 and InCopyCS2.
