Readabilities (K4) Approved For Use With K4

We are happy to announce that the new version of our cutting-edge plug-in “Readabilities” has been tested and approved for use within the K4 editorial system, developed by vjoon GmbH, Hamburg, Germany.

Schoolbook publishers, magazine and newspaper publishers – everyone who publishes text for a specific reader group, need to ensure that their text, precisely the readability level of their text, matches this intended reader group. This means especially not too difficult, but not too easy as well.

In order to analyze and categorize text, acknowledged scientists have developed a variety of methods and algorithms, each based on measurable text properties: the used vocabulary, sentence length and complexity, average number of syllables, just to mention a few. Therefore, applying these methods is a time-consuming and partly cumbersome task, if you need to do it with external software or maybe even by hand.

And so here are the key benefits using the “Readabilities”:

• You analyze any kind and portion of English or Spanish text with just one click with up to 10 different methods.
• The results are automatically saved and stored with the document, and, if you work within a K4 environment, in the K4 database as well.

• You save an enormous amount of time, because authors and editors can monitor the text’s readability level at any time from the very first word on.
